What’s Next?#

Now after you are all set and have understood the basics of the S-Core project, next step would be to make a first real contribution. There are different ways how you can productively contribute to the S-Core project, as described in the sub-chapters below.

Good first issue#

S-Core project consists of many repositories.

These repositories are maintained by corresponding Feature Teams or Communities. Every of these Communities or Feature Teams has a dedicated Discusssion/Discussion section.

Normally, every repository has a README file, explaining the content of the repository and every Discussion section of every Feature Team or every Community should have a pinned discussion, containing a general information e.g. name of the Feature Team lead or corresponding slack channel, e.g. as in this example.

You can always browse currently open issues in the module repository, labeled as “good first issue”, as for example this issue. However it is never a bad idea to reach out to the community in the slack channel and inform e.g. Feature Team lead or other committers, that you want to help and ask for a ticket.

Additionally, you can always join Community or Feature Team online meeting, that are publically available for everyone in the eclipse commnunity calender.

Explore Feature Requests#

S-Core projects maintains a list of feature requests in the GitHub Project Feature Requests/Modifications.

In case you want to propose a new feature to the project or take over the responsibility for an already agreed feature, please reach out to the S-Core project leads in the slack channel.

Reach out to Project Leads#

If you want to contribute to the S-Core project, but still do not how to do the first step, feel free to reach out to the S-Core Project Leads in slack channel. They will put your topic to the agenda of the Project Lead Circle, that takes place every Monday, or will propose an alternative time slot.
